New Shop Display Projects

Look what the very talented Kylie (mumsbusycrafting on Rav) dropped in today:

Maggie's Flower Tunic
Maggie's Flower Tunic, by Nancy Barrett

It’s a sweet little tunic cardigan called Maggie’s Flower Tunic.

It was knitted in 100% kettle-dyed cotton Araucania Pomaire which I have in-store for this summer only.  But you could substitute any plain or multi 10 ply/worsted-weight cotton.  Lion Brand Cotton-Ease springs to mind.  Or it could be done in a nice merino wool for winter.

Also knitted by Kylie was this sweet little Lion Brand girl’s top pattern.  I used Fibra Nature Links organic cotton (available in-store only at this stage), instead of the Cotton-ease for which the pattern was written.  But once again, you can substitute any 10 ply cotton for the same effect.  Even some Sugar’n Cream or Bernat Cottontots would be nice.  I have a customer knitting her little girl’s Christmas top/dress in some of our sparkly christmas cotton which would be nice for this project too.

It was knitted in a size 5 for my daughter, but this is Kylie’s daughter modelling in these shots.
